Off The Chart: 22 February 1989We’re not doing anything to mark Twosday on this week’s Off The Chart, because we’re going back to this day in 1989 and 22/2/89 isn’t a palindrome. We will be playing the week’s number two single though, along with the rest of the top five, after we’ve been through some of the week’s forgotten and neglected hits, played tracks from two three of the week’s new albums, rounded up the day’s events and gone down under for a look at the Australian chart.

  • Who finally updated their sound for the 1980s and ended up with their least successful single for eight years?
  • Which hit contains the 17th worst guitar solo of all time?
  • And how did a team of cricket-playing rabbits end up in the singles chart?
