It’s an uncharted sea, it’s an unopened door, although frankly if you’ve never heard Off The Chart before you’ve got a lot of catching up to do. Still, this seems like as good a place as any to start, as we go back to this day in 1988 for two hours of obscure, forgotten and neglected hits from the UK singles chart. Along the way we’ll throw in some hits from other charts, some of the day’s news stories, the TV and radio highlights, a huge list of the day’s gigs, a hit from the Dutch chart and we’ll round it all off with the top five in full. Fizzy beverages not included.
