Never a frown with Off The Chart, even in a funny old week like this. We’re looking at the Record Business top 100 from this week in 1982, but two of the songs in the top ten were so far ahead of their time that they each took four years to become hit singles. Still, we’ll carry on with the usual mix of obscure, forgotten and neglected hits, diversions to the album, indie and disco charts, a look at the day’s news, the TV and radio highlights, the gig guide, a hit from the Japanese chart and the top five in full, which is a few days ahead of the Official Chart so there’s something in there you might not expect.
