Regrettably, we’re going all the way back to 1980 on this week’s Off The Chart as we take on the Record Business chart from forty-four years ago this week. That inevitably means a number of hits from the bottom of the RB top 100 that never got a sniff of the Official top 75, but there might be some slightly more familiar hits too, as well as tracks from three of the week’s new albums, a look at the day’s goings on, the constantly baffling Arthur Dent Moment, a Mystery Cover Version, a hit from the South African chart, and the top five in full to close proceedings.
Listen to Off The Chart on Noisebox Radio at 9pm every Tuesday, with a bonus hour of additional hits from the same chart at 11pm in Off The Chart Too! And don’t forget you can join in the show chat on the Noisebox Radio Discord server. If you’re not around, you can catch up on Mixcloud after that.
